1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• "Platform" means the Akatech BI web application accessible at akatechbi.com.
• "Service" means all features and functionality provided by Akatech BI.
• "User", "you", "your" means the individual or business registering for or using the Platform.
• "We", "us", "our" means Akatech Business Intelligent, a company registered in Nigeria.
• "Business Data" means inventory records, sales data, supplier information, and any other content you upload to the Platform.
• "Subscription" means a paid monthly plan granting access to specific Platform features.

2. Account Registration

To use Akatech BI, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@akatechbi.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Not create more than one account per business entity without prior written permission.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to refuse registration or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

Akatech BI offers the following subscription plans:

• All paid plans are billed monthly and grant 30 days of access from the date of payment.
• Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You must manually renew before expiry to maintain access.
• Upon expiry, your account is automatically downgraded to the Free plan. All existing data is preserved.
• Prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable taxes.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect active subscriptions until renewal.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Akatech BI only for lawful business purposes. You must not:

• Use the Platform to manage inventory for illegal goods or services.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the Platform's source code.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform.
• Share your login credentials with individuals outside your business.
• Upload malicious files, malware, or any content designed to harm the Platform or other users.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features.
• Use the Platform in any way that could damage, overload, or impair our servers.
• Misrepresent your identity or business information.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Akatech BI Platform — including design, software, trademarks, logos, and content created by us — are owned by Akatech Business Intelligent. These are protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for your internal business purposes, subject to these Terms. This licence does not give you ownership rights in the Platform.

The "Akatech BI" name, logo, and brand identity may not be used without our prior written consent.

6. Your Data & Content

You retain full ownership of all Business Data you upload to the Platform. By using the Platform, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you.

• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of all data you enter into the Platform.
• You must not enter personal data about third parties (e.g., customer details) without their consent.
• You can export your Business Data at any time from the dashboard.
• Upon account deletion, your Business Data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain 99% uptime for the Platform. However:

• Scheduled maintenance may require brief downtime, and we will provide advance notice where possible.
• We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services (internet providers, payment gateways, etc.).
• We do not guarantee that the Platform will be available at all times or free from errors.

In the event of extended unplanned downtime (more than 24 hours), we will provide affected subscribers with a proportional credit or subscription extension at our discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:

• Akatech BI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
• We are not responsible for losses caused by your failure to maintain secure credentials or by actions of third parties.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

9. Termination

By you: You may close your account at any time from the Settings page or by emailing support@akatechbi.com. Unused paid subscription days are non-refundable unless you qualify under our Refund Policy.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if you:

• Violate any provision of these Terms.
• Engage in fraudulent activity or chargebacks.
• Use the Platform for illegal purposes.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days before deletion, giving you time to export it.

10. Refund Policy

• 7-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first paid subscription, contact us for a full refund.
• Billing errors: If you were incorrectly charged, we will investigate and refund within 5 business days.
• No refunds for: Partial months, plan downgrades, account terminations due to Terms violations, or subscriptions that have already been used for more than 7 days.

To request a refund, email billing@akatechbi.com with your account email and payment reference number.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In the event of a dispute, we ask that you first contact us at support@akatechbi.com to attempt resolution informally. We will respond within 5 business days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our service, or business practices. We will:

• Notify you via in-app notification and email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect.
• Update the "Last updated" date on this page.

If you continue using Akatech BI after the effective date of changes, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with changes, you may close your account before they take effect.
